Philip graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. After graduating SMU, he attended and received his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in 1997.
After passing the Texas State Bar, Philip went to work for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. As a prosecutor, he began perfecting his trial skills by prosecuting over 70 jury trials, conducting the voir dire (jury selection), or as the lead prosecutor on various matters. Through his experience Philip gained a unique insight into the dynamics of the art of jury trials and prosecution.
After leaving the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, Philip went on to practice insurance defense handling various complex matters before the court. Soon thereafter, his experience took him on to gain valuable first-hand experience in all facets of the litigation process. Throughout the years, he has taken and defended hundreds of depositions and written and argued complex motions throughout Texas and accumulated extensive jury trial, litigation, and prosecutor experience. Philip’s diverse background has led him to practice primarily in commercial litigation and family law.
